The tranquil town of Pokhara in Nepal is an amazing destination for an unforgettable adventure. With its stunning views and unique activities, Pokhara has something to offer everyone. Here’s a guide to the top 10 things to do while in Pokhara.

Explore the Natural Beauty of Pokhara

The backdrop of Pokhara is the Annapurna mountain range, and it’s easy to see why it’s referred to as one of the most beautiful valleys in the world. There are many trails and unique landscapes to explore, each with its own unique view. If you want to take in the panoramic views, take a short hike up Sarangkot Hill or catch the sunrise from the top of the World Peace Stupa. You can also take a leisurely boat ride across Phewa Lake for a different perspective.

If you’re looking for a more adventurous experience, you can take a paragliding tour over the valley and get a bird’s eye view of the stunning landscape. Or, if you’re feeling brave, you can try your hand at white-water rafting on the Seti River. There are also plenty of opportunities for mountain biking, rock climbing, and zip-lining in the area.

Take a Hike to the Peace Pagoda

The Peace Pagoda is one of Pokhara’s most iconic landmarks and a great spot for a leisurely stroll. The pagoda itself is a place of peace and reflection, and is located at the top of a hill. The view from the top is amazing, with stunning mountain views and colourful lakes below. The hike up is easy, making it perfect for all ages and levels.

The Peace Pagoda is a great place to spend an afternoon, as there are plenty of benches and tables where you can relax and take in the views. There is also a small cafe at the top, where you can grab a snack or a cup of tea. The hike is also a great way to get some exercise and enjoy the fresh air. So why not take a hike to the Peace Pagoda and enjoy the beauty of Pokhara?

Unwind at Phewa Lake

Phewa Lake is the star attraction of Pokhara and is a must-do on any trip. Put your feet up and marvel at the stunning reflections of the surrounding mountains on the lake’s calm surface. There are plenty of options for getting around, from renting paddleboats to simply taking a leisurely stroll around the lake shore.

If you’re looking for a more adventurous experience, you can take a guided kayak tour of the lake. You’ll get to explore the hidden coves and inlets, and get up close to the local wildlife. You can also take a boat ride to the nearby Tal Barahi Temple, a popular two-story pagoda temple located on an island in the middle of the lake.

Climb Sarangkot Hill

For more of an adrenaline rush, take a hike up Sarangkot Hill. It’s one of the most popular places in Pokhara to watch the sunset, but you can also grab great shots of Phewa Lake and the surrounding ranges. Make sure you plan your hike in the afternoon to avoid the afternoon heat.

The hike up Sarangkot Hill is relatively easy, but it can be quite steep in some sections. It’s best to wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. You can also take a taxi or a jeep to the top of the hill if you don’t feel like walking. Once you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Annapurna mountain range and the city of Pokhara.

Admire the Sunrise from World Peace Stupa

If you’re looking for an amazing way to start your day in Pokhara, then head to the world peace stupa and watch the sun rise on the horizon. Make sure you bring your camera for some incredible shots of the Annapurnas, glimmering in the morning sunlight.

The World Peace Stupa is a great place to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature.
